The Kingston upon Thames Society is once again delighted to be co-ordinating The Royal Borough of Kingston‘s participation in Heritage Open Days in 2017. The Heritage Open Days provide a rare opportunity for free access to significant buildings that are not normally open to the public or usually charge an entry fee. This year’s Open Days will run from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 September 2017.

You can find out all about the National Heritage Open Days programme at heritageopendays.org.uk. The national website is well worth looking at to find places of interest to visit outside of Kingston.

This website covers the venues and events in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and, where applicable, copies information from the national site. We add to this by including late changes that cannot be included on the national site, by providing a printable guide (last updated 4 Sept 2016), and by producing a local map, and by creating a calendar showing which venues are open on each day and which ones require pre-booking.

This website is always changing as are the details of the venues that will be open so please keep checking back here for the latest information.

You can join in the conversation about Kingston Heritage Open Days on our Facebook page or by using the hashtag #rbkhods on Twitter or Instagram.

We hope you will find what you need, but please contact us if you’ve ideas and comments, of if there is anything you need more help with.
